Sports News that Interest Me (June 8th 2005)

• Manchester United signs Van der Sar. I think he will be a good signing that will perform better than Roy Carroll or Tim Howard.
• Manchester United considers signing Park Ji-Sung. Saw him play for PSV against AC Milan, and he looked like a lively player. Not too sure how he will fit into the MU system though.
• Teddy Sheringham moves to Australia. Only thing I am surprised by is that the Australian League is called Hyundai A-League. I nearly thought it was the Korean league for a while there. :)
  

• Brett Favre decides to play on. That's good news, Green Bay Packers, but they just drafted Aaron Rodgers, the QB star of Cal. Would he be able to grow under Favre's tutelage and take on the mantle in 2007?
  

• Pistons vs. Spurs for the 2005 NBA Championship. Was kind of hoping that Heat would go through (just because I like Dwayne Wade), but hey, not too bad a matchup isn't it.
